If only this book was available when I was a teenager, life would have been so much easier. Not only is it the perfect reference guide for teens, but it’s quite handy for parents as well.
Keith G. Wright has managed to put together a complete guide of how to survive the teenage years. This book teaches youths how to deal with issues such as love, competition, step parents and believing in yourself. The way he incorporates his own life lessons into his work helps readers to see that they are not the only ones who have had to face difficult decisions each day. We all do. It’s how you deal with them that really matters.
“The Life of Teenagers Ain’t No Joke” teaches the reader that the most important things in your life are family, staying true to yourself, and learning to make the right decisions. Sometimes you may make mistakes, but learn from them and use them as a steppingstone to better your future. That’s what this book is about. Learning and living.
For parents it’s a great way for them to remember that they too were once teenagers facing the same issues, decisions, and pressures that their children are now facing.
This is definitely a must have book for all teenagers and parents of teenagers alike. A wonderful read!
Anyone can tell tales about the great battles of the Native American Indians and the Whites who inhabited their land. But only someone who truly understands with passion and heart, the actual topic at hand, can express the real trials and tribulations that actually took place during one of America’s greatest periods of history. That person, without a doubt, is Michael Blake.
“Indian Yell”, though only sample chapters at this time, is one of the most interesting books that I have ever read. Despite some of the stories being vaguely familiar to me, there are a lot of details that I somehow “missed” in my previous readings on the topic.
Seeing the stories through Blake’s eyes has made my view on this period in time change dramatically. The tragedies that these people went through, on their own land, is unbearable for most people to think of. But just because you close your eyes to something doesn’t mean that it no longer exists. Blake has made this seem more valid -- by telling the facts straight and true.
Blake has made one of “America’s greatest insurgencies” come back to life with “Indian Yell“. Readers young and old alike, who have a piece of this period deep-down in their hearts, will be utterly fascinated and spellbound with this book.
What better way to end the night than with dragons, castles, fairies and ogres? “Alexander Asenby’s Great Adventure” is a fantastic story about a boy named Alexander who, when his parents slept, each night goes on magical journeys through his closet door.
Stephen J. Brooks knows how to capture a young children’s heart by adding trolls with warts, fire breathing dragons and moats of hot lava. Children will love the character of Alexander, the heroic knight who makes his descent into this fantasy land in the darkness of the night.

What happens when day turns into night and mostly everyone is tucked into bed sleeping? Why the “Creatures of the Night” come out to play!
Children will love this book! It gives them the chance to see what happens when the sun goes down and the moon shines bright. Stars are shining and raccoons and field mice are running and jumping in search of food and fun. Crickets play the evening’s music, along with the frogs croaking their tunes. The night is full of surprises from lightning bugs to barn owls in the trees.
Not only is this book superbly written, but the illustrations by Rodger Wilson will delight children young and old. You can almost feel the texture of the pictures from the fuzz of the mice to the fur of the coyote.
Stephen Brooks has written a book full of wonder and excitement, guaranteed to be a great read!
