STOP!
Don't throw out those empty
cereal boxes! You can use them
for craft fun or cool gift
ideas.
CEREAL
BOX CRAFTS
WHAT WE NEED
empty cereal
box
kid-safe scissors
hole puncher
yarn (any color)
crayons
cup or other (small - medium
sized) round object
non toxic glue
(Kids, make sure an adult is
lending a hand before beginning
any project.)
1) Doorknob Sign:
Using your cereal box and kid
safe scissors, cut out a 4"
X 8" rectangle or try
cutting any good-sized
rectangular shapes of your own.
Next, in the center, about 1/2
inch from top, trace the bottom
of a cup or other round object.
Cut out the circle, color the
backside, and write a silly
message like "Keep
Out" or "Brain At
Work."
2) Bookmark:
Using your cereal box and
kid-safe scissors cut out a
3" X 6" rectangle
shape. Near the top, in the
center, punch a hole with your
hole-puncher. Loop 3 strands of
yarn through the punched hole
and tie a knot. Decorate
backside with crayons and use it
for your favorite books or give
as a gift!
