"From the minute you began your presentation I knew you would capture their [the students] attention for the entire hour. Your highly-spirited personality kept them engaged and your goal to have them all feel like AUTHORS was what set you apart from the many authors we've had throughout my tenure (15yrs) at Underhill. Your presentation was like a mini-workshop weaving your personal experiences as an accomplished children's author while validating each child's work they created during your session..." Read more

Tabatha
Jean D“Agata was a redheaded, freckled-faced kid born
in Lawrence, Massachusetts who liked to spend time
imagining herself as Nancy Drew or admiring her grandmother's
jungle-licious garden. She attended Lawrence schools
(where she also consumed large amounts of Indian Head
Pumpkin Seeds when her teachers weren't looking) and
found her first knack for writing in a third grade
classroom. Her writing grew over the years from horribly
rhymed poetry to carefully plotted stories (though
D'Agata does credit the growth to English/writing
courses, much needed involvement with critique groups,
writing workshop & SCBWI).
D'Agata continued her love for writing by authoring many stories for children like Marvin Monster's Big Date, Marvin Monster's Teacher Jitters, Silent Sam, Ick The Stick, Storm Tunes and Pampered Pals. Her credits also include magazine pieces and several e-books. She currently resides in the charming town of Hooksett, NH with her husband and their son and daughter. When Tabatha isn't hanging-out with her family -- you'll find her punching computer keys, plotting her next book or presenting one of her many workshops. She loves visiting schools and interacting with students of all ages. Her theatrics are always a crowd pleaser :)
